i think im not doing it the right way and im not hitting the lats as i should. correct me if im wrong but when doing the lat pull-down you have to lean back so you hit the lats but when i can hardly feel my lats working. am i leaning to far back instead of just arching my back a little????? thanks for your help

Arch your lower back a bit. Feel as though you are pushing your chest upward and look up at the ceiling as you pull. When you pull down, don't focus on pulling with your hands. Use a hook grip and think of it as if you were pushing down a weight that is under your elbows. Squeezing or flexing your lats at the peak of each contraction can help you create the mind-muscle connection necessary to make your lats explode. You can utilize these samw tips on pullups, i do!
