Just joined up on this site. Finished my last workout on Wednesday before the Arnold. Nothing great but we'll see how it all comes out next weekend. Looking forward to the Arnold and hoping for good numbers in the raw meet.

41 years old 350 lbs

Best lifts:

Single ply: Squat 837, Bench 675 (700 in gym), Deadlift 700
Raw: Squat 760 with USAPL, Squat 800 in knee wraps, Bench 570, Deadlift 700

Current numbers are a little off, Best lifts raw getting ready for this meet are: squat 660, Bench 525, Deadlift 640. I usually do better in competition, I hope that works out this time also.

I'm the guy in the picture kickboy put up.

Alright! welcome to the board.
Your throwing around some huge weight, how long have you been powerlifting? What lifting program do you follow?

Enjoy the Arnold, I really want to go check it out but I dont have the schedule for long trips right now.

Big Neal Bring it home to NC Brother. I hope to catch you at the gym before the meet.
Super thanks for joining the forum. My son missed school all week and Alyssa had to fly out to Fla yesterday her Grandma is 89 and very ill. So I'm home with JR who is feeling sick.

1900 plus Mike you can do it!!!!!!

The mind and the body are interrelated: what you do to one necessarily effects the other. There must be a balance between the two. If your body is strong but your mind is weak, you are a powerful instrument with no direction; such an instrument rarely produces good. If your mind is strong but your body is weak, then you may be filled with purpose and good intentions but have no strength necessary to act on your impulses. You must strengthen your mind to control your body; and strengthen your body so you can always follow the good directions of your mind.

Thanks everyone.

I don't have any regular training program. I do a variety of things. I like heavy negatives on the bench as I get close to a meet, I also do speed work with or without bands, I like heavy close grip benching. I do rack work on the deadlift, I use reverse banch deadlifts for speed and regular competition deadlifts every two or three weeks. Nothing special on squats, just listen to how my body feels. I love pause squats.
