Default Big Ride yesterday. - 05-18-2008, 02:38 PM

I got out to Oak Mountain yesterday morning and was looking at the map of the trails. I started talking to this guy and struck up a concersation.

Long story short I ended up riding with this guy and about 14 other men and women riding that day. I kinda joined a club for MTB riders.

We rode about 6 miles of trails. That busted my ass. I have not rode trails in awhile and I had to play catch up but these groupe was a group of really nice guys about 5 of them slowed themseleves down to wait for me. It was not that Could not hit the hills or even pedal over the roots and other stuff. Some of the turns I was just not technique enought to handle yet. Of course that will get better as the more I do it.

We ended up coming out of the woods about about 6 miles and rode another 11 miles on black top totaling out at a little over 17 miles. Man I had fun. They were going to rest a little then ride some more. Unfortunately I had to leave I had a massage scheduled later but I am definately going to go back and ride with them more.

This will be my week-end saturday morning thing to do.

I am soooo glad I am putting my leg day on Monday now to give me the chance to rest my legs for Saturday rides.

I am soooo sore from riding I can't even begin to describe it.

That sounds fun Mac! I think you just found a way more fun way to reach your goal!
