That was pretty sick GS!! I always feel uncomfortable doing heavy box squats, something about that first forward swing to get off the bench... But then again, I'm just a man and your a friggin monster!!

Thanks my brother! This was about my 3rd/4th time ever doing them. Not an exercise that I like to do, however, I need to start. I am not an expert with the box squat bro nor any other exercise, but just control the weight an shot from the hip first bro stay in complete control. Avoid swinging bro! I will be researching this exercise more myself bro. Thanks for the support bro!! You can do it bro!

GT which is better in your opinion to do? box or regular squats...i do both alternating weeks but the box squats seem to hurt my knees less...

I think low box squats with lighter weight than you do on regular squats can really help get your numbers up.

I 2nd RickB, FearnonebutOne - Box squats will hit all the primary squatting muscles bro. Check your technique to make certain your hitting correctly. I would not choose one over the other bro, I will be running with both now. I may start running box sqts weekly and blast off reg squats every other week not certain yet. Schedule week probably be much like yours bro. If your powerlifting bro just make certain your not cheating yourself by using a box or bench to high. Use good technique bro which I am sure you do and all will be fine. Hammers away bro and take care of the knee.
