Default why not - 04-21-2011, 08:31 PM

So why not start another what I am doing thread?

So this week I have started a new routine which is comprised of 2 warm up sets and then 10 work sets with my 5 rep weight for that exercise. And I have 10 mins per exerecise to complete this. The NO is really helping with these workouts. However, the soreness is crazy. And what I am seeing is that by set 5 I am actually able to up my weights and do more for the last 5 sets of 5. good stuff

So ten sets in ten minutes? Sounds pretty damn intense.
How many movements a session are you using that scheme for?

Today was legs. I did single leg presses, seated leg curls, seated calf raises, leg extensions. And that was it.

Yesterday was back and bi's. wide grip front pulldown, seated high row, barbell shrugs, seated single arm preacher style curls (5 x 5) and then incline bench single arm dumbbell curls (5 x 5)

2 days a go. Barbell military press, side laterals, reverse grip tri ext, overhead rope cable ext (5 x 5), seated single arm cable bench press'

The workouts are intense, but the NO really makes them seem easier than what they are. Gonna start doing long runs again real soon too (5-8 miles).

I am eating like a horse and weigh in at 260 right now.

Interesting take on it! What is your guestimated BF% @ 260?

Gosh man, I have no idea?? I have read that with arginine use you should up carbs. But, my diet as usual is the good, the bad and the ugly. Today was rough. By the time I was done with bent over side laterals, overhead rope ext, barbell front raises and then weighted dip machine. I was too tired to do a good chest. Yes, I am doin chest last since the tri's are fried and I end up squeezing the hell out of my chest to get the last rep. But, today was rough at that point. Need to eat more in the AM before I workout (2 hours before). Citrulline malate gets delivered today!!!!

My tri's hurt. But my legs do not from yesterday and that bugs me. I would think they would be fried. Might need to change some stuff. My back and Bi's still hurt and they are up for tomorrows workout.

Hurt or sore?
Hows your movement on the legs? For myself Ive found that keeping constant tension by not locking out really gets a vicious fire going in my legs.

No soreness. Time to do 10 sets of squats. I have always done full ROM with leg movements.

Today was chest, shoulders and tri's. Nothing special, no PR's or such but a great workouts none the less with help from citrulline and such. Finished off with incline treadmill walking with a 15% grade and 3.7 mph for 20 mins. Then a 1 mile run at 6 mph with a 1% incline. nice and sweaty then home to fix a fence and pay bills.

the dialects here are crazy,if you drive 20 minutes away the accent is noticably different and the further north you get the harder it is to understand.
