Default What type of cardio? - 06-22-2008, 12:33 PM

What type of cardio should you be doing to get a 6-pack? I run everyday but is there any other forms that I could do? I'm really impressed with my abs progress so far but I'd like to know if there's any other exercises that I could use. Thanks!

Well cardio is cardio really. I'm not sure which is the most intense, but I favor the elliptical because it works arms and legs and is easy on the joints.

Also diet is a big part of this too. Keep your diet in check and have a decent amount of cardio and you could be on your way.

You wont' get a sixpack by just doing cardio weather its intense or moderate. To get your abs to come it its diet diet diet man, I know guys that dont'even do any cardio and are @ 5 percent bf. Its all in what youeat. Cardio will help but its no substitute for strict clean dieting.

I don't believe in working ABS to get a six pack..You will develope the ab muscle through your weight training..IE Rows ect. Your diet and cardio is what will give you the six pack look...Slow paced cardio for 45-60 min's 5-6 days a week along with a good diet will keep you burning fat and keep you from a catabolism state.

I'm Old, I'm Tough but I know what I'm talking about.

If you ate half of what I eat, you wouldn't be 6' tall and 150 lbs

Try some HIIT cardio.

Very well said and Also what Tought old man stated.

Diet is the number 1 key.

You can do all the cardio in the world and the one thing it will really hurt you on is muscle loss.

You end up burning more muscle when the cardio gets to be to much.

Thanks everyone. I do work my abs and watch what I eat. I guess it'll just take some time for me to see my abs.
