Absolutely agree with Mac! You are an inspiration papaw! I check your log frequently just to keep myself motivated. I did have a question however. The calorie counts you have, are they from a monitor or the machine you use? And if so either way, how accurate are those counts when everybody's body is different? My girlfriend just bought a gazelle (Tony little's exercise machine thing) and it has a counter, she says they aret very accurate, or accurate at all. She is a nurse so I feel like I should believe her somewhat, but she doesn't have faith in much besides pasta! LMAO

Thanks Mac, I am trying to work as hard as possible. I've got a goal. (I need a gold trophy to balance out my fireplace mantle. I've got the silver, so now I need the gold. Actually I'm hoping for a good showing next June, it's the 40th year my wife and I will be married, so I gotta win. That means abs for days, and cut to the bone. I've kept my weight under 170, so it'll be closer to my goal weight. This year I got down to 159 and was close. Next year I have to be spot on with everything!

Thanks a bunch, I consider it an honor to be able to be a source of motivation for you. As far as the calorie counters, it's the machine's calorie counter and the only source I have for how many calories I've burned. I don't believe they are all as accurate as the other. It just gives me an idea of about how many calories.

I consider it an honor to be able to participate in your journey to the gold. You are a strong competitor in my mind with a drive I could only hope to be able to keep as long as you have. According to Mac, he says that I have made some great progress in just the short amount of time I have been involved with IPYU.com, and I think that I've done fairly well considering where I was a year ago. I'm still having a hard time getting dialed in, and althogh I met my goal weight I set...I'm still not looking as ripped as I want to be. Having a hard time building the muscle where I want it and een harder time getting rid of that bodyfat stuck in the abs.

I say that as long as you keep it going the way you do, I will meet my goals too. So please don't stop giving it all that you do, because your blog helps me believe in myself! ::cheers::

Hey papaw, how long do you spend in the gym every day? And how many workout partners do you have? I'm just interested to know because I remember you said you were lifting with some skitzoid that made you uncomfortable. I am spending about an hour every day hitting it give or take, but I'm trying to cut up so the cardio w/o's are shorter for the next few weeks.
