Ok, not sure if your allowed to do this but I have to favorites...Kai and Branch....Kai because he is just so focused and willing to teach and share but Branch is a freekin animal in the gym and thats how I like to train....so I like them both

Kia definitely getting freaking huge!
I like the way Branch trains as far as intensity is concerned but from the videos I have seen - his form is terrible. I guess you can grow training that way when you are all jacked up.
If it aint Jay this year I think Phil Heath has got it this year!

agreed with the form thing. I am talking about he is a freekin animal in the gym...Kai is probably number one on my list simply because he is a person if that makes sense...

I am def a Kai fan, but I think it is funny that so many have really slammed Jay for his "supplement use".....Kai is not looking so natural....... My favorite thing about him is his dedication to the mind/muscle connection. I think that is why is form is so good.....He is focused on what muscle he is working and not the number on the dumbell....

Right, I dont slam any of them on their "steroid" use. There is no way in my mind that any of those monsters are natural...Im just strictly talking about the person...

I am glad you said that Fear.....I was actually not talking about anyone on this board. What I think is crazy though is besides GH availability, what has changed in the steroid market since Arnold's days? He has always been candid about his steroid use, but I think his physique was much more aesthetically appealing....just in my opinion.

I totally agree...I really dont know crap about the sport, but I know enough to look at a person and tell the difference...mostly from my training (work) but Kai is on top in training in my opinion...

Bodybuilding is an unnatural sport IMO. Not much about it is natural from the training, to the dieting, to the lifestyle. Every moment and action is dedicated to being bigger and better than the guys standing next to you.

For me this is different. My training is very natural. I am naturally a hunter and love the challenge. The diet is a fast of sorts that not only gets you cut but gives you discipline both mentally and physically. The lifestyle is what you make it!!! Every moment and action is dedicated to being bigger and more cut than the guy I WAS yesterday! Forget the guy next to me.

That's a good way to think about it. That's similar to what they tell us at the athlete meetings. That we are competing against ourselves but for me I'm competing against the competition. All I'm thinking about when in my prep is what it takes to be 1st not just what it takes to be better than my last appearance. If I was competing against myself, placing would not matter. I'd take 4th or 5th and be happy but its competitive nature that will not allow me to give my all show after show and be satisfied with not taking home the W.

As for the sport being unnatural, many many people see it as unnatural to train as hard as we train, to diet like we diet, the lifestyle to most people is unnatural because they don't understand it. Layne Norton is a natural guy with very unnatural training and dieting techniques. People would call him crazy for putting 6 plates on each side of the hack and squatting it for 12-15 reps screaming and grunting for the entire set. Lol, what we see as good work most people see as unnatural. That's why they built planet fitness, so that those people would not have to workout around us "unnatural" people.

Most people wouldn't see this as natural but its what it takes:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp7DSi7aBok"]Hack Squat with 6 plates & a 5 on each side for 10 reps - YouTube[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcJKDhn9GKs"]660 lb Raw Deadlift - YouTube[/ame]
