Default Cardio exercise tips - 08-23-2011, 11:12 PM

I think swimming best cardio exercise as it involves most of the body parts while swimming and has many benefits like:

It improves your acrobatic capacity,
It build your hips, shoulders, arms and back muscles,
It makes your blood circulation better,
It prevents you from obesity and joint problems,
It fights against stork and heart disease,
It increases your stamina.

I've also heard that swimming causes you to burn fat evenly around your body as opposed to losing it all in one spot then on to the next spot, if that makes sense. Of course this was just something I was told and could be BS. Nevertheless it's great cardio.

Swimming is alot harder then people think. 3 laps and you are wiped. I wonder if when you swim underwater and you aren't breathing how that effects you. hmm??

Lol its not the beach part that makes it surprising, because they don't let you swim at Venice and Santa Monica due to dirty ass water.
But more of the fact im in the ghetto ware everything is apartments all having pools.
I dunno man, no legit excuse here. My 7 year old daughter swims better than me

Lol!! I grew up in Cali and everyone had pools! I was a fish! It was to hot not to be I the pool all summer. Web I swam in college my shoulders got wide and my waist tiny. I'd def do it again but the thought of swimming Laos for that many hours a week doesn't seem as fun as it did at 19! Lol.

Watch what other lap swimmers do. It really isn't important how much you do or how hard you do it right now just that you get started and begin building endurance. If you're just swimming for exercise then just go to the pool and do some laps. When you get completely out of breath then rest a few minutes and do some more laps.

Bodybuilding is much like any other sport. To be successful, you must dedicate yourself 100% to your training, diet and mental approach.

Agree with the people here about swimming. But swimming is not something everybody knows. I mean going in shallow water and remaining underwater for 2-3 secs and coming out (having fun) is not swimming.

So, I feel the best cardio exercise is running or walking fast, this is something everyone can do. At the same time, it has a risk of injury, but with proper medical advice and gradually increasing the distance and speed once can master his/ her stamina.

Ever wondered why pugilists and martial artists run so much? Especially pugilists, who have to fight 10-15 rounds of 3 mins each with little breaks in between.

There is no better/ easier way in my opinion to increase your stamina and improve your breathing. If you can run continuously for long, you master the stamina problem for sure.

There are places in this world where you will rarely find a hygienic swimming pool, but you would definitely find a place to run. You can start anywhere.

Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion.

Well it Increases your breath capacity it will make, you breath much good.
It helps, you sleep good than before.
It helps you feel good about yourself.
It helps you burn belly fat and calories fast and even faster, with just a proper diet.
It will help you reduce, any stress you have.
Cardio will reduce the risk of you having a heart disease, low blood pressure, control cholesterol, diabetes, etc.

Growing up in FL, we were swimming all the time in pools & lakes. Was the leanest I had ever been back then. Def makes for a great cardio session. I even notice now during the summers how much my kids look leaner due to being in the pool almost everyday

I somewhat disagree. It's rough on an old man's joints. Sprints are good, but long distance running and bodybuilding don't go hand in hand for the most part. But that said, if building muscle is not your primary goal, then yes running can be good.
