Default Oh Jesus you got to be kidding me. Knee Pain. - 08-11-2011, 11:37 AM

Well, I thought this was just from doing so much cardio here lately.

I'm going to the Dr. Friday and hopefully get another damn MRI set up to take a look at my Knee.

My Professor thinks that maybe I am have a meniscus issue but of course to be sure to go get another MRI done.

If it ain't my damn back it is my knee now.

Been trying to do the right damn thing and diet good and workout like a madman.

I just hope I don't have to get my knee scoped. If I do I will damn sure get back up on the horse as soon as possible. I can Bike stuff so My cardio is going to be limited to the stationary bike for right now.

walking on this leg for any sort of time it starts to feel like it wants to buckle from underneath me.

Odd thing is it is tight if I squat but as it warms up it is not so bad in one position. But I start walking on it it hurts like hell.

Sorry to hear about the knees Mac. Hopefully it's nothing major and we can get you back in the saddle in no time.
How long have you been feeling it?

I can still ride the bike and other upper body stuff. Just going to have to kinda stay away from weight bearing stuff on my knee right now.

This ain't stopping me in the least. I just find away around it. I just have to ride the bike instead of other things.

Great attitude, Mac!! If you are working hard, there are bound to be setbacks.....that's when you focus on something else for awhile and become beast there.

Get yourself a knee brace at Wal Mart, that's what I've done. My knees pop everytime I take a step. I know, I know, I need to go see a Dr. lol

My knees get like that Mac but in a few days they get better. If it's not a knee then it's some other joint. Been dealing with a shoulder for about 6 weeks now. I can bench 135 with very little discomfort but it bothers me in bed at night. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

The mind and the body are interrelated: what you do to one necessarily effects the other. There must be a balance between the two. If your body is strong but your mind is weak, you are a powerful instrument with no direction; such an instrument rarely produces good. If your mind is strong but your body is weak, then you may be filled with purpose and good intentions but have no strength necessary to act on your impulses. You must strengthen your mind to control your body; and strengthen your body so you can always follow the good directions of your mind.

Kinda down now.

Got my MRI Results back today and I have:

Small Meniscus Tear in Left knee
and a
Small Popliteal Cyst or Baker's Cyst on the knee or back of knee

Just made appointment with Arthroscopic Dr. The Dr. that did my Shoulder surgery.

Hoping that this is a small tear and the cyst is small I can Ice, Compress, Elevate and Rest it.

I can still do Cardio on the bike that makes it feel a bit better and do my circuit stuff. Just have to take care of this and see what the Dr. says.

Keep your chin up Mac! I know it's a bummer for certain, but you'll get through this. Keep steady on your food intake and focus on that while you are dealing with this. Keep us posted!
