Default A lotta love - 10-29-2010, 10:00 AM

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do this since it is a weightlifting forum but my wife has been very supportive in my dream of bodybuilding. SO...I am the worlds worst at giving credit when credit is due. My wife is a gem. She works a crappy job as a parking lot security guard during the day, and takes care of our household at night. You ladies know what I'm talking about. When I get home from working out she has dinner made and serves it up not only to me but my mother too. Last night after a great workout and the legs were tired, she went out and brought in my dog for me. I didn't ask her too she just did it. I'm probably one of the luckiest guys in the world to have a great wife like her. So here is a great big thank you and I love you to my wife.

Thanks M.T. I appreciate the feedback.
I read about your meet... those powerlifting meets are alot of fun. If you think about it, it's a mind game also. Trying to figure out who's lifting what. Sizing up the competition.
But you did a great job, huge numbers. I wish they would do that around here.

Do you do calf work on the leg press? We have a 45 degree press and I have always enjoyed doing calf work on it.

I use a horizontal type leg press that has a 45 degree on it as well. I love using this because you can get a REALLY good stretch at the bottom that I think is very important for calves.

This is just like our machine. If you notice the angle on the foot plate:

Thanks Recarp, what do you suggest. You have been at this longer than myself and I would appreciate any suggestions that you have.

Thanks Rick. Yeah looks good, we don't have one like that but the backrest on the legpress adjusts and we have gotten some new machines that I don't know what all they will do. Let me check em out and I'll get back with you.

What does your training split look like right now Papaw? It looks like you are doing an upper/lower. Sorry if I missed that part

The site you sent had quite a few good ideas and I appreciate you hooking me up with the site. I'll try em out and decide which one I like the best. I have been doing rack sets. I know I needed to be doing deadlifts. Thanks I appreciate it.

Sadly so. I've been doing it that way so long. My problem is I have 4 days a week to get all I can get in. If necessary I can add Sat. afternoons.
I guess I just don't understand what I'm needing to do. I'm just doing the best I know how. What progress I've made I've done thanks to all the help from everyone. I'm open to suggestions.

I actually really like the upper/lower body training split Papaw!! That is what I am using and I do so the majority of the time. It looks like what you are doing is working really well. Keep up the hard work With that being said, if you ever need any help on a training split we will be glad to help however we can!!
