Default What are ways to workout being a beginner who is trying to lose weight? - 07-15-2012, 01:23 PM

The summer time is here, i'm out of school for the summer and I finally have time to attempt to workout. I really want to lose up to 50 pounds. I know what types of food to eat but the only problem is exercising. I know how to do cardio and crunches but that's about it. I need to know how I can fully workout meaning working on love handles, thighs, underarms, and stomach. What is an exercise plan I can make for myself so I can try to lose weight?

What I have used and had success with is a very simple concept - shove less calories in that big ole mouth of mine than I burn up every day. I switch from cardio one day to weight training the next, and I have gotten exercises from a client of mine who is a personal trainer which are designed to help strenghten my core, which he believes will help me burn more calories and lose more weight. And make sure the calories you get are good calories, ones that burn quickly and efficiently.

Ditto Alegator! More lean muscle does burn more calories. Think of it akin to a high performance dragster that gets very poor fuel mileage because it's strong.

as far as your exersise plan goes, i cant comment as i dont know your body type and whats going to work for you. but i can reccomend intermittent fasting. the benifits to fasting are endless, google it and give it a try.

Thats a great goal and you'll do great!!! Everyone has their own regimen. Finding one that works for you is key. At the moment a clean diet is best mixed with cardio at least 5-6 times a week along with weight lifting to tighten the skin. A good idea that I tool around a lot with is a workout that involves keeping your heart rate up while building muscle. If its a day I do chest in between a set I do 1-2 of a crossfire
Or plyo exercise them do a set
Of lifting weights. After my workout my heart is pumped and I hit cardio for 30'. Another option would be HIIT training. It's very intense tho. Keep us posted and good luck.
