im not sure what my ratio would be, i used to be really obsessive, to the point it would of been 100/0. now i follow a more 'if it fits your macros' type lifestyle. i justify it with, the fact im eating, fats carbs and protein togeher, so if i was to eat an apple pie with a meal, the fats and proteins lower the glycemic value. that plus my last meal is still being digested. plus it keeps me sane and ive noticed no negative difference between 'clean eating' and 'if it fits your macros' to my overall results in, or out of the gym. i dont ignore good carbs completely however. all of that plus my intermittent fasting means i have the insulin of a ninja.

I'm of the 80/20 philosophy. However, that 20% is a very few number of foods.

God bless the ecto, I can eat pizza and cut haha.

I can control body comp real easy, but I find that eating good foods just makes me feel better in general.

I know a lot of guys who follow the "if it fits in your macros" diet and they get amazingly shredded. Its a great way to diet and keep your sanity. Dangerous grounds for me because i'll end up getting a little "extra" and before i know it i'll be out of my daily macros. Its best for me to not even open up that can of worms

well for you, every gram of food counts, espeshilly when your 4 or 5% bodyfat, even the slightest change in diet could be catostrophic (you dont need me to tell you that though lol) i heard clarnace bass lost a compitition because he ate one toffee the day before the conest, and it smoothed him out! not sure how true that is but i have an awsome amount of respect for what you do.

You can eat pizza while bulking or cutting!

Stuff like that is easy cals, and good mind food. But it def affects my workouts, less balls out energy. BUT I still do big things. Right now I can get away with it, but once I'm in the every-workout-counts mode you couldn't pay me to cheat on my diet.
