I wont say the name of the person but there is an IFBB pro that is a top competitor that works out at my gym. He was in the locker room the other day posing and my buddy was taking some pics. What do you think I noticed first??? Hmmm?
Chest? Biceps? Quads?
Heck no it wasn't! It was his huge distended gut! I mean it was freaking round like a pot belly. He was shredded as heck and had great abs, but it was huge!
There are some things you see these days that you would never see several years back. Big guts, massive heads and jaw lines, disfigured faces, erupting injection sites. WTH?

The turtle shell even the novice observer knows somethings not right about that....it really does look crazy. I like the pros but as I've gotten older I really do appreciate and lean towards the natural look or the 60's-80's BB....Oh I saw some turtle shells backstage at the Lenda Murray.

Yep!!! I think HGH is the worst thing to ever show up in bodybuilding!!!

Exactly right. HGH is a steroid that doesn't render fast or quick results. As an attempt to hurry results, guys use this stuff at an alarming dosage. and as muscles get bigger so do organs, intestines, etc.

Consistant low dosages pay off in the long run but obviously these guys want what they want fast.

HGH actually puts an adult back in child-like enabled growth mode. It re-enables hyperplasia (growth of new/additional cells) with muscles but also makes other things grow as well due to the same effect. And actually HGH is not really a steroid. Just like in our bodies where our pituitary gland secretes GH and our testosterone comes from our testes. HGH and steroids are pretty different animals but the big dogs and some local guys I see love running both. Get BIG.

See to be competitive in untested shows you have to get on slin, at least 750mgs of test, HGH, IGF-1, and all kinds of other stuff. You have to be willing to suffer all the side effects to be at the top level. Sorry but I will stay all natural. That stuff is going to catch up with those guys. I know a couple guys that take alot of stuff. Hair falling out, nose, jaw all huge and disfigured. Not worth it to me.

a buddyy of mine was on the juice for about 4 years ending 16 years ago. he was 5-8 and about 240pounds with not much fat.now hes 5-8 and about 150pounds.he has an enlarged heart,enlarged kidney,gout,liver disease.it definilty was not worth 4 years of hugeness.

I'm not anti-steroid at all. But I am against users competing in "natural" comps. I do dislike hgh. Especially what it has done to bodybuilding! Score high to the man with the small waist....LOL

As I said in a previous thread, uneducated use of anything that changes your body is dangerous. There is no quick fix for muscle growth, fat loss, etc. Anytime someone is after fast results they are in for trouble. Usually they run way too many "supplements" at one time which can cause problems....this is not a "if one is good, 5 is better" area.

That is a huge problem when these guys taking slin, HGH, and all kinds of other stuff - don't know what they heck they are doing. I went to a local show recently that wasn't a qualifier or anything and saw all kinds of athletes with distended stomachs and gyno. Crazy. I actually competed with this guy who was diabetic who had a distended stomach in a NATURAL show. The way these pros look today also kind of give the sport a bad image. They look all juiced and drugged. Back in the day the pro's looked at least a little more natural, they had flat stomachs, and there was a decent image. The drug use has taken on some weird sub-culture!
