The RETURN of the LAB RAT! -
03-13-2010, 01:57 PM
Hey there......
I know, I know, I know.....
"Where the HELL have I been?!?!?!?
Well for the last 7 months.... I have been in IRAQ.
Well....I was stationed in the state of Washington at Fort Lewis.....
while there.. I slowly started gain weight back....the weather sucks for doing outdoor PT and I could not find a steady buddy to work out with....plus the constant rain is DEPRESSING
Well in August 09 I deployed to IRAQ.
Well, I got back onto a steady workout...and while it's been slow....I have managed to go from 228ish in July09 down to 208 as of today.
My first goal is to get under 200....then down to at least 180.
Also...been having issues with my PT test.....esp the RUN.
I never had issues with pushups....but did have issues with situps.
I started doing a routine that I am sure you are all aware of called P90X.
Holy cow...does it not only work....but its pretty motivating....
Well I gotta go....and well... fight a war.
Later Y'all.
Oh... I might get pix up here again one day.

Welcome back Man !!!
The mind and the body are interrelated: what you do to one necessarily effects the other. There must be a balance between the two. If your body is strong but your mind is weak, you are a powerful instrument with no direction; such an instrument rarely produces good. If your mind is strong but your body is weak, then you may be filled with purpose and good intentions but have no strength necessary to act on your impulses. You must strengthen your mind to control your body; and strengthen your body so you can always follow the good directions of your mind.

Hey y'all! THX for the support. Still here in Iraq. It's not that bad....well...not as bad as the TV says....LOL. I actually want to extend here... but they won't let us. I feel safer here on a FOB than anywhere else. Creepy, huh? We are roughly 7 months in our 12-month deployment here, I've already had mid-tour leave, and now just trying to hang on for the ride.
P90X can be a killer. But I actually like it. I also bought a set of bands from bodylastic....like haveing a gym on the go... perfect for a soldier.
OH.. I did get my first tattoo when I was home on leave.....some of you might recall the design I made years ago......
just go to this link....I can't seem to upload it from Iraq... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1086393635

Sweet Tat!
BTW, thanks for your services! I've heard mixed reviews on what it's like over there. Good to hear it's not bad for you!

Sorry for my lazy butt not getting back on here....I intend on taking some pix... now that I have a new and working Digital Camera.....and yes...still in Iraq but not for much longer. Think of it like the last days of a Senior in Highschool....that's pretty mush what I feel like.
As for a progress update.....
I am down to 201 officially by the Army and approx still at about 20-21? BF. Gross, right? Neck is at 17 (which is a down from 17.5 and 18) and my Waist is at 37 is wish down from about 38/39. Oh and I stand at 67.
Gotta go... wil sign on later today I hope....
