Just a minor setback Paw, you got it in the bag! This time off will also help you to recover from any nagging pains and such too.

Thanks Paw, I definitely lost focus this past weekend, but that was kind of planned. A few days off in a row help to keep you from getting too worn down, at least that is what I am going to tell myself hah.

Very sorry to hear that. Take some time off but I would think that as soon as you start to feel like you could do some light weight training, anything that doesn't place a strain on your spine and doesn't hurt might be Ok. But listen to you doctors, it'll come back to you when you get back to training.

Thanks M.T., the support means alot. I tried doing some recumbant stationary bicycle last night. It felt good to be doing something. I weighed and my weight was 179.4. As soon as the Dr. gives me the thumbs up I'll be back. Maybe not so strong for a while but eventually I'll be back better than ever.

Yeah, the pain is not a problem. Ibuprofen is a good thing. I tried doing some recumbant cycling for about 15 minutes and woke up at 1:30 am having trouble breathing. Silly me, shouldn't have done it. I think I'm ok now. I saw the x-rays today. Holy crap, my ribs are dislocated, the las two in the back. I'll be taking it easy for a while.

We had a great visit, he said I really scared him. I told Rick about the ribs being dislocated. Brother you'd think as old as I am I'd have better sense than to try and exercise with screwed up ribs.
Yeah, I'll be posting stuff sooner or later. I'm going to a chiro, phys. therapist. He use to be a competitive bb/powerlifter. He's thick. He seems to know his stuff. I went to Baptist group for physical therapy and the girl put a heating pad on my back, chiro dude said they should have put cold pack on it instead to reduce inflamation. Anyway, I'll be back, it's just a matter of time.

Great to see you taking it with stride papaw! If it's still giving you pain I would just skip out on the cardio, as long as you maintain a solid diet you shouldn't really go through much loss/gain.
Your detication is amazing! with that lust to compete, I can't imagine you not completing now

Thanks Kris that means alot, I love competition.
I am just trying to stay as active as possible. You know what they say about pain, it's weakness leaving the body (but I try and keep that at a minimum when possible, LOL)
Really I do appreciate it.
