Thanks Kris, I appreciate the support.
I haven't been going over 5 reps on anything and noticed my arms getting smaller. I'm not sure if it's weightloss or I'm not getting enough pump. What is your opinion ?

Thanks Rick, been missing you around here. Did you check out last Thursday's MAN was I pumped. I'm going to find a way to sneak some video of me doing that weight. (they don't allow pictures or video being taken in the gym)

Yeah, I missed seeing you as much lately. I hope everyone at your end is doing fine.
The PR I was really happy to get. It gave me a boost in spirit.

Thanks for the support GS. I appreciate it. That's my first 205 since my shoulder injury. I kinda like the hammerstrength type machine.
I'll be hittin the steel Monday night. Friday, Saturday, and Sundays are my rest and rebuild days. I know I probably should split the week in two and rest Wednesdays, but I like it this way.

sorry about the delay papaw, three opinions:

Sounds like a combination of the two, whenever i start to cut weight i feel like my arms shrink like crazy.... its all in your head though, the resulting 'cut' look will make them look bigger than ever.

also when in a low carb state your muscle is 'empty' in a way, when more carbs are eaten the glycogen will fill the muscle back out.

i wouldnt say its because your not 'pumped' because most of the time you look at yourself your not 'pumped' anyway, just kind of standing/walking by a mirror. so your getting the real-deal-holyfield look at them. pump becomes a factor when you look bigger than normal...like DAMN IM PUMPED right now.

What ive been doing lately with smaller muscle groups (bis/tris/delts/calves/forearms) are high rep workouts to increase the muscles ability to store and shuttle nutrients and create that pump feeling. I think they get enough fast twitch stimulation from compound lifts (bench, squat, deadlift, bentoverrows)

Kris made great points. There is an "in-between" stage where you think you look like crap. But keep leaning out and then you'll start seeing what Kris said. For instance, when I'm wearing my normal size t-shirts, imo you can't even tell I workout much. But when i wear my wife beater shirts, I like the way I look. And I get comments too. But no comments really when wearing normal clothes and admittedly...I miss that haha!

Great point kris!! I almost always end my workouts like that. A lot of people dont take this into consideration. Reps upwards of 15-30 and I even do timed sets of 30 seconds to a minute as well.

Thanks to all of you, I appreciate the supportive comments. There's alot I don't know about bodybuilding. If it wasn't for you guys I'd still be weighing 210 and have bad shoulders. I'm hoping to get some video and post it so you'll get an idea what my goal is. My biggest goal is to walk away with a place in my first bodybuilding competition. I'm not afraid of the work.
When I started powerlifting when I was in my 20's I had never touched weights. The guy that ended up training me had lifted most of his life. The first time we met he looked at me funny. When I asked him about it a couple of years later he said he hadn't seen anyone look so bad. I went from that to lifting a total of 975 between three lifts. It took me 3 years. I have been bodybuilding for two. I have accomplished more in two years thanks to all of you, than I did in 3 years of powerlifting. I want this more than you know. Thanks to all of you. I will post either pictures or video of the competition for sure.

Power Squat
Plate load Squat Machine for regular squats and front squats. 3"x 3" Construction. Three position starting for various height of users. Three position lower racking for bottoming out of movement. Adjustable angle on Urethane Coated Foot Plate. Ball bearing hand release mechanism. Ball bearing pivot mechanism. Heavy Duty padding..

This is similar to what I have been using to do squats on. I found it under leverage machines. How would this adjust a 300 lb squat on the machine to what a regular squat might be. Or is there any way of knowing ?
