Default DNPX- Product Spotlight - 02-05-2013, 11:41 PM

ProSupps introduces DNPX, our newest fat annihilator. When you consider all the fat burners sitting on the shelves in today’s market, ProSupps founder, IFBB Pro Art Atwood, knew he needed a formula that would stand out above the rest, a formula that had a great blend of energy, hunger control, thermogenesis and mental focus. His answer? DNPX, the ultimate fat solution.

Prophedra Matrix

Black Tea

Tea just happens to be the most frequently consumed hot beverage world-wide, even more than coffee. Tea is available in various types like black tea, green tea and white tea, as a few examples. Black Tea can positively impact levels of alertness in depressed individuals who also suffer from high levels of stress. As an additional benefit, it can aid learning skills and the memory of these individuals. In regards to fat loss, black tea raises your body’s RMR, increasing the body’s use of calories for energy, which in turn burns fat at a faster rate. Black tea provides effective fat loss support, especially when combined with a correct diet and regular exercise.

Caffeine Anhydrous

For those who may not know, Caffeine anhydrous is really just caffeine in dehydrated form. Rather than giving caffeine anhydrous an image as some new super drug, just think "caffeine". Basic caffeine does have value in a fat loss program as, like the caffeine in coffee or in pill form, they speed up the metabolism causing calories to be burned at a more rapid rate and of course act as a potent stimulant.

White Willow Bark

The White Willow Tree (salix alba), found in central and southern Europe, has been used for hundreds of years to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Salicin is the active compound in willow bark and our bodies convert this compound into salicylic acid, actually structurally close to aspirin (acetlyl salicylic acid). It’s common to hear about the connection of willow bark to aspirin as it works similarly. While it’s true that willow bark by itself is not directly involved with fat loss, when it’s combined with thermogenic ingredients such as Caffeine Anhydrous, 1,3-Dimethylamlamine or Yohimbine HCL, it will enhance the fat burning properties of these compounds; this is similar to the use of aspirin in the famous “caffeine-ephedrine-aspirin” stack from year and years ago.

Also known as RauwolfiaVomitoria Root Extract, this is classified as a yohimbine-isomer, it has demonstrated stronger MAOI-inhibiting properties then standard yohimbe. Fundamentally, it is able to stop the neuro-breakdown of three key neurotransmitters-- serotonin, noradrenaline, and dopamine. Similar to Yohimbine Hcl, Alpha-Yohimbine has stronger neurotransmitter inducing properties.

The potency of Alpha-yohimbine (Alpha-Y) at the subreceptors of alpha2 is quite different from yohimbine— the alpha2b and alpha2c adrenergic subreceptors primarily, however, there is little change at the alpha2a receptors.

Many of the properties of the alpha2 receptor agonists and antagonists are regulated by Alpha 2a. Alpha -Yohimbine actually has the same potency to Alpha 2a subreceptors, but greater potency at the other receptors, this means we do not have to use as much to impact them – so the side effects are diminished, such as an increased heart rate, higher blood pressure, anxiety, and norepinephrine (NE) hyperactivity.

The alpha2c receptor has a minor part in the negative feedback signal on norepinephrine, or NE, but it has a major effect in those areas of the brain where sympathetic innervation is low, and the dopamine system is dominant, these areas - the VTA and striatum-are key for reward, reinforcement, and metabolic control. In these areas, the main agonist at alpha 2 receptors is dopamine—rather than NE-- and alpha2c makes up the most of these. So, dopamine’s negative feedback signal will be stopped and dopaminergic tone will increase.

In fact, the only other area the alpha2c receptors are highly expressed is in the adrenal medulla, where it controls negative feedback on epinephrine (E), similar to what alpha2a does on NE. So, alpha-y causes a much greater increase in E levels, with a great impact on thermogenesis, energy use, and nutrient partitioning.

The alpha2b receptor only affects blood pressure mainly in regards to salt loading. In the obese, and with overfeeding, receptor levels are upregulated. Also it increases Arginine vasopressin activity. So, we’re minimizing the increase in the alpha2b agonist NE, and doing a better job of blocking the receptor than with yohimbine.

1,3 Dimethylamylamine

DMAA, also referred to as 1, 3 Dimethylamylamine, Geranamine, Geranium extract, Methylhexaneamine, and 1, 3 Dymethyl, is well known as an effective stimulant that actually is extracted from geraniums. 1,3-Dimethylamylamine was patented by the drug company Eli Lilly as a nasal decongestant and given the trademark name Forthane. It was introduced in 2006 by Patrick Arnold, just after the final ban of ephedrine as a fat loss supplement in the US back in 2005. Arnold introduced it using a trademarked name: Geranamine. This is a compound that can increase alertness, focus, mental energy, improve mood and it works well in breaking down fat to be burned as fuel. In fact, as a fat burner, 1, 3 dimethylamylamine works well and it’s a popular key ingredient in many fat burners currently on the market. Additionally, DMAA has thermogenic properties.

3, 5-Diiodo-L-Thyronine

One non-stimulant compound that has received positive feedback is 3, 5 Diiodo-L-Thyronine (T2), this in fact works along the same lines as the thyroid hormone. Recent animal research on T2 and its effects on rats and their RMR. The results indicated that rats fed a high fat diet did not gain weight and that T2 stimulated their RMR. A follow up study was done using two human test subjects with normal, healthy thyroids. It was shown again that RMR was affected by the use of T2. These two studies support the theory that 3, 5 Diiodo-L-Thyronine supports an increased RMR and can help reduce body fat.

O-methoxy phenyletylamine, Beta phenylethylamine, 4-hyroxyphenylethylamine, N-dimethyl-hydroxyphenletylamine(PEA)
Phenylethylamine, or PEA, is a popular ingredient that is in quite a few fat loss formulas, it also is in chocolate. PEA is a neuromodulator and it’s responsible for the transmission of norepinephrine and dopamine. PEA is a stimulant which may help control hunger, greatly improve mood and increase mental alertness because it releases acetylcholine, which supports memory and cognitive skills.

5-Hydroxytryptophan-5 HTP

5-HTP, as it’s commonly referred to, is the intermediate step in the biosynthesis of Serotonin and Melatonin from Tryptophan. 5-HTP, a naturally occurring amino acid, is well known as a effective supplement for depression and the tie-in to over eating. In numerous cases, depressed individuals make an attempt to increase their Tryptophan/Serotonin levels ( due to their relaxation/mental calming effects) by following a low protein, high carbohydrate diet that ultimately ends up in over-eating. By adding 5-HTP, Serotonin levels can be increased without the need to overeat. 5-HTP will also help reduce hunger and prevent binging.

• Increase fat breakdown for energy
• Enhance mood, focus, alertness and energy
• Control hunger
• Control the catabolic hormone Cortisol
• Control insulin to avoid fat storage
