Default Cheap kettlebells - 12-28-2009, 10:19 PM

I made these out of a tricep spin lock bar that you can buy at academy sporting good or most sporting good stores. All you do is cut the middle two bars that leaves the handle in the pic.You must grind or file the sharp edges down.ALSO BE VERY CAREFUL THEY MUST BE TIGHTENED UP SO THEY DONT COME LOOSE when attaching the weights.I tap them with a hammer to tighten up on the spin collars. These could come loose so please be careful. They are not exactly like a kettlebell but pretty close.Plus they are adjustable in weight if you dont cut the spin lock spindle off.

bad boys look pretty slick!

maybe tighten it up a little more then drill a hole in the main shaft to shove a cotter-pin through, just for security

Great idea Mopower, that's an innovative idea.
Necessity is the mother of inventions (or something like that).
