You obviously haven't had shiner bock.

I have to agree, though, that coors products are second best at least.

Ashley, ya gott try Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout man. It's more bold than Guinness, but once you acquire the taste, you'll throw rocks at the other

Red face BEER - 02-22-2007, 12:16 PM

I've had three different kinds of Shiner, bock included. Don't know what it is. I probably just haven't been dedicated enough...

I hold my liquor fairly well for someone my size, thank goodness - b/c whiskey is my thing. I prefer not to mix it, but if I know I'm in for a long night, I'll shake up seven&sevens. A 50/50 mix is just about perfect.

Through lots and lots of whiskey research, I have determined that drinking is the only way I'm worth a damn at pool, darts, or playing poker for cash. (I play decent free poker sober, but once we start betting money I get weird and start missing things I should be paying attention to.)

Shiner beers are fair...but not great. You live where my favorite brewery is. Live Oak Brewing...especially their hefeweizen! Hoot!

Just no Pale Ale stuff, way too bitter. One of my new favorite beers is Dos Equis. I love the stuff. Nice flavor. I ask for it at mexican restraunts. I'm not sure but I think it may be the Amber they bring me.

Pale Ales aren't bitter my friend. Try Arrogant Bastard or Double Bastard from Stone brewing...the bitter will knock you outta your chair.

Oh well, guess I wouldn't like Arogant Bastard then. Dos Equis is great beer. Love the stuff.

Just started thinking about a Philly Chease steak. MMM MMM

I'm not knocking Dos Equis. I love the amber with a good Mexican dish. To me there's a beer out there to fit any dish or any mood. Although, I don't frequent our home bar as much since I work out, I always have a good selection of micros and a couple macros for guests as well.

Cheers!
Rick
