Default hughes,serra,pierre - 12-05-2007, 02:38 PM

theres alot of talk going around about these guys.just wanted to throw my 2 cents and see where it lands.
ill start with hughes: the guy is a legend already. he is tough as they come and can back it up.i dont think he talk shit about anyone unless they start it.hes a farmboy wrestler with shedloads of power and i personally think would pound serra into submission.
pierre:more talent then anyone else in the division, i think him being young is both good and bad. he beat hughes and looked beyond serra saying he wanted to be a double belt holder with the Lt heavy after serra and that hurt him. 9 times out of 10 pierre would destroy serra unfortunatly it was that time the last time they met.
serra:no offense to anyone from new york, he is your typical new yorker a loud mouth, talks quicker then his brain can work. hes only beaten one reputable guy and he talks like hes the man. his skills are good but the chances of him beating hughes or pierre(again) are about as good as it snowing in panama.
well those are my thoughts feel free to comment.and again no offense was ment.

I agree completely, they are all great fighters but IMO GSP is 1, and Hughes and Serra fall in the rankings somewhere.

The mind and the body are interrelated: what you do to one necessarily effects the other. There must be a balance between the two. If your body is strong but your mind is weak, you are a powerful instrument with no direction; such an instrument rarely produces good. If your mind is strong but your body is weak, then you may be filled with purpose and good intentions but have no strength necessary to act on your impulses. You must strengthen your mind to control your body; and strengthen your body so you can always follow the good directions of your mind.

Me and my old man just had this talk. St. Pierre has got talent out the ass - no two ways about it. I've always liked Hughes - one hell of a classic powerhouse. Serra is my least favorite - I don't particularly like shit-talkers... especially when they don't have the rep to back it up. I must admit he's not 'bad' - but he's nowhere near the other two.

Personally I would love an opportunity to fight Hughes, I would like to see if he could continue his forward movement against a striker who pushes hard up the middle. I would just like to see more fighters who could kick to the head with good speed and power. If I ever get a match with Hughes be sure to take an insurance policy out on me it might pay off, actually I think Hughes is a class act and a nice guy so he might let me live.
