Yup! It's been said that you can sustain life on beer alone. Now I'm not sure you'll build much muscle and in fact you may get a bit dehydrated, but the nutrients in the "good" beers (not your mass produced bud, miller, coors, corona, etc and their light counterparts) are good enough to keep you going.

For every argument to prove beer in moderation is a good thing there are 2 arguments to prove the opposite. Alcohol effects everyone differently. They have "proven" alcohol to be a precursor to so many diseases that it will never be a good thing... good thing I don't believe everything I read....CHEERS!

What about liquor? I'm not big on beer but love rum and sometimes Jack Daniels.

Generally a shot has 70-80 calories, and I've heard that it delays muscle repair by two days. All bad.

With your goals and the work you are putting in exercising... I wouldn't drink at all
No point in negative progres

Kris is right, I just opt to ignore most of it!

If you are going with hard liqour, your best bet is to avoid any sugary mixers that really jack the calories up. Drink whiskey straight! I drank Vodka and Soda for a while too.

Plus the fact that Alcohol beer in general is a diuretic. You would be pissing everything out you are putting in your body.

I want to read a Beer Drinking Excessively is good for you article.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both.
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant,
'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'
Such is the rule of honor.
