Discovered a new pet peeve today...the former (he claims) personal trainer who won't shut the f*&% up while you are in the middle of a hella set of deadlifts (thanks Mek). Trying to impart his "wisdom" about the workout you are using without ever seeing it - gym socializing at it's finest! Damn that dude pisses me off!!!!!!!!!

That sounds like a better idea Mac the DANGER ZONE! I can see the sign now: If the sound of grunt, yelling, dropping weights is offensive to you, you are not allowed in this room. Anyone not grunting, yelling or dropping weights will be asked to return to the P.C. side of the gym. Thank you

Wow! I used to have a guy that worked in my most frequented gym at lunch time...where I was under time constraints and he would just talk and talk and talk. All while I lifting resting rinsing and repeating. Damn....why can't some just STFU?

Havent been on the forum in a while so I dont know if this has already been said but... cell phones in the gym while checking yourself out in the mirror... Not only are you wasting time and in my way but while your checking your scrawny self out your not payin attention to my broad ass coming your way to shove you out of my path

There are signs posted all over the gym about no cel phones while using equipment but they dont enforce the rule at all. NEW GPP: singing along with your ipod while working out (more often women than men) there is a girl that runs on the treadmill every day with her earbuds in who apparently thinks she is the Adele of Gold's Gym...she isn't.

I hate it when guys (that obviously are way smaller than you and have less knowledge ) try to correct your form. Sure I wouldn't mind if it was someone who is bigger than me and looks like they know there stuff but a Guy that's 150lbs and thinks he's the Almighty gym master needs to be smacked.

we got this gypo that constantly interupts people asking how long you been lifting and various other questions.doesnt wait until the break time either.hes constantly pulling up his shirt flexing his abs,which is about a 2pack.its very annoying and hes getting the hint when you just look at him standing there and carry on.

Being a Trainer myself I really can't stand going a to a gym and seeing an obese trainer training a client and giving them nutrition/work out advice. Really?! Come on! Why should they listen to you when you can't follow your own advice!

Nutrition advice I can understand.

what would your definition of Obese be. I'm a larger guy and Have trained people for years in Power lifting, strong man and bodybuilding. I certainly don't claim to know all about Contest dieting but some of us Power Lifters can put the hurt on many a smaller lifters when it comes to performance in the gym. Now I'm not your typical Round boy but I do have my extra pounds I carry around. I don't like the attitudes that if a person is thinner and has abs they think they know it all.

Now I have seen larger guys that give out advice that is pure bullshit. I will admit that and usually those are the ones that can't even lift their own body weight. That is how I can tell if a big guy knows what he is talking about. I don't think that If I see a guy that weighs over 300 pounds and is benching 405 or 600 pounds on squats for reps, that I'm going to question his methods of how he got that strong.
