I ran today. time is down from 30 mins to just over 27 mins for 3.x miles... AND NO PAIN IN MY CALFS TODAY!!! Some tightness but not like before. I just motored up the last hill like it almost wasn't there. I forgot what this feeling was like. Its what pushes me. I am down to 229 also. Down from a 40in waist to about a 36ish. all in less than a month!!!! 3 weeks and 2 days to be exact.. Just need to clean up my diet a bit more and the fat will fly off and muscle will grow!!!!!!!
Thanks to all that suport!!!

Good,
We are in the same boat, today I hit a new high in my running as well, no pain and I ran for the solid 45 minutes.

ok, bad news guys, Pain is back, Ran today and it started to ache about 1/2 way. I pushed through though. Still did it in 29 mins... I played volley(sp?) ball last night for like 3 hours. LOL from like 9 to midnite then came one and only had a serving of turkey breast and a CUP of skim milk. then went to bed. I honesly think it was overload on my calfs. Cuz last night the last game the pain started.

Fed, how often are you running these 3 miles? The reason I ask is because just like in weightlifting, you need to change things up. I realize you're doing this more for the cardio benefits (or so I believe...correct me if I'm wrong) and if you're doing 3 miles a day, you need to give yourself a break. When I ran, I ran 4 days a week. I had 1 long run (long for me), 2 medium runs, and 1 short run. Running is extremely tough on the body and changing it up and giving yourself breaks is really recommended.
