hard to train for 10,000 feet when i live at sea level. what would be the best way to go about getting my legs and stamina in shape for boarding. after my first few powder runs of the season my legs are TOAST the burning just never ends. and hiking a few hundred feet at the top of mammoth is near impossible. i was thinking light weight high rep squats since boarding in powder involves squatting for 10 minutes at a time. and maybe underwater training? where i have to hold my breathe, get my body used to being starved for oxygen.
