What you wear- May affect gym performance
By:Buffness
Look good- Feel Good- Preform good.
Sounds odd, but it's so true. Bare with me http://www.powerbuilding.net/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
How many times have you made your way to the gym, and you just didn't
feel comfortable wearing what you had on? I'm sure more then once. I'm
not talking about fashion or whether your pink shirt brings out your
eyes lol..no no no no. I'm talking about the "feel". The way you
perceive yourself. Some people like to feel loose in the gym. Baggier
cloths, or tight cloths, it doesn't matter. Whatever it is you feel
better in, you will perform better.
If you have a guy that likes to wear a tighter shirt then the norm, and
send him in with a bigger shirt, chances are he won't feel as confident
as he would with the tighter shirt.
Same thing goes for the person wearing a baggy shirt. If you send him
in with a tight shirt, he may not feel as confident wearing it as the
previous guy, in turn putting doubt in his mind.
What I'm I saying? I'm telling you to wear something you feel your best
in(to the gym), and you will never run into the doubt/confidence factor
of wearing something you may not feel right wearing.
It all really boils down to the mind again. The mind is a very powerful
tool. Something as simple as what you "think" you look like can affect
the way you feel. Not just in the gym either. If you think you look
good, you'll feel good, then you will preform good.
Now, I'm not telling you to go oil up your arms, or wear spandex...but do whatever it is you have to do, to feel good in the gymhttp://www.powerbuilding.net/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
