Too much protein! You only need 1 gram of protein perlean body mass, everything else is excess and will get wasted. You only need something like 150 grams.

That's some solid improvement in 2 months. Completely changing your body takes time, effort but most importantly patience. A big transformation is going to take a very long time. (6-8+ months) Which is why so many people use steroids without thinking.

Keep it up!

Edit: I can't say exactly what your body fat was and is currently, but if I had to guess I would say you started somewhere in the 20-24%ish range and are probably down to a good 17-19% range. Again those could be way off.Edited by: Psyco_Demon

Pretty smooth, you can also tell on your arms. It shows that you were busting your balls on biceips. But you said that you have been taking shakes at night. I think that you should cut the shakes at night and you will get rid of that lil belly thats forming. But all in all good job!!!

Thats just one of many views on protein intake. I personally take in about 2g per pound of lean mass. There's too many factors to just lay a blanket statement out about the amount of protein you need. Its as bad as telling someone how many calories they need to be consuming based only on sex, age, height, and weight. Its an individual thing.

Think about it, just add one variable. Do you think someone doing a traditional split (1-2 muscles a workout) needs as much protein as someone who does workouts like me where I hit half the muscles in my body in one workout? I doubt it. It seems to me that this is one of many variables to consider when answering the age-old question "How much protein should I be taking in?"

Maybe so but 300 or more grams of protein, which is what he is taking, is unarguably too much. I wasn’t trying to give a blanket and generic statement, was just suggesting that he reduce the amount. There is tons of speculation of this and no one knows for sure. But it’s a myth that any unused protein is just ‘expelled’ from the body and unused. Some of it does get stored as fat, which is not what anyone wants.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I get near 350 on weight training days. I also know of natural monsters who take near 600g a day. Any macronutrient gets stored as fat if you eat in excess, or are converted to glucose via gluconeogenesis and used as fuel if not in excess (with the exception of alcohol). Edited by: Maverick

Alright, so no more assumptions! http://www.illpumpyouup.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

If you feel you are gaining too much in the midsection, then that might be a sign to lower the intake of protein.
