im a 45 yr old who has just started weigth lifting again after years of neglect now to build muscle you need protien this i understand but after a session how do i get the protien i need is it a glassof milk or peanut buttie i need to know how much i need to consume and where to get it could someone advise me please

1.5 - 2.0 grams per lb of bodyweight is optimum for muscle growth.


Stick with whey protein initally, stay away from General Nutrition Centers they are a complete ripoff. I'd post up here where you could get it but i don't want to violate possible forum guidelines.

There are plenty of places you can just search on the web also, In my experience with this website they have some really good deals so check them out here also.
