Ok people mention this coz its complex carbs, whats the nutrition info of oats per 100g.

Also how do people eat it, obviously there is good old fashioned porriage, but any other ways. Maybe some more convienient ways whilst at work ???

About using oats at work, this is a trick I use.
Buy oat flour (or make some, if you can) and use it in shakes, since it's just basically ground down oats, it has the same nutritional info (you can check if you don't believe me) but can easily be absorbed in a shake

carbs 60grms carbs from sugar 1.5 grms
fat 8 grmsof which saturates 1.6grms
fibre 8 grms trace sodium cals 356 .
i always have mine as porridge as i come home for breakfast.

Grinding grains into flour may not change their nutritional info, but they will be more rapidly absorbed which raises their GI and II. O.K. for bulking, but not good for cutting.

Perhaps, but wont blending them give that exact same effect?

I don't think blending mashes the oats to dust, though it probably does chop them up somewhat.

from personal experience, given a good blender, you can get close to flour like consistancy...just not quite :)

But it would definatly raise the GI sustantially.
