Hey guys,
I have been lurking in these forums for a while and was thinking of trying the slingshot program. I have been working out now for 3 or 4 months. Currently doing 4 days per week (chest/tri, back/bi, ...etc). I work out with my 16 yr old brother and another guy.

Question
My brother will be starting basketball practice next week. So, he will be doing a lot of cardio. I know it says not to during the blast phase. Is this ok with the program?

My brother and I both have thin builds, but I have more of a gut. The other guy we are working out with is trying to lose another 30 lbs (he has lost 30 already). Can we all do the same program?

The quick answer is yes. But MAX results will be reached if you follow it to a t. Weight loss is MOSTLY Diet related. A clean Diet is the FIRST building block. If you can't eat clean and follow a diet then your results will be lack lustered. Realistly you dont' have to do any cardio to lose body fat. JUST Eat right.

like fed said, i would say yes you can all do the same STS program. Each one of your diets should be different (since you and your brother are shooting for gaining muscle from a thin build and the third guy is mostly loosing fat while gaining any muscle he can)

I am still trying to understand this slingshot program ,but right now I am trying to get the right split. I have some limitations:

The friend we workout with is out of town on Monday and Tuesdays for seminary school. He did say they had some dumbells up there and he could probably do shoulders or something on one of those days. Also, I have not been able to talk my brother and him into doing leg workouts yet. So, I might do Shoulders and legs on Monday and Tuesday. We workout in the evenings. I can't workout Sunday night because after church it is too late (I have to wakeup at ~5.00 AM for work). Anyway is this split ok? Can I move Traps to another day so my friend can join us?

Day 1 would be Monday and would consist of:
Shoulders
Traps

Day 2 would be Tuesday and would consist of:
Quads
Hams

Day 3 would be Wednesday and would consist of:
Off

Day 4 would be Thursday and would consist of:
Chest
Calves

Day 5 would be Friday and would consist of:
Lat Width
Lat Thickness

Day 6 would be Saturday and would consist of:
Biceps
Triceps
Brachialis/Forearms

Day 7 would be Sunday and would consist of:
Off
