Alright so i have just started running again,and it seems that im slower than last year i dont have a time from last year but it just seems im slower.I was the fastes guy on the team but i moved and cant tell anymore.I remeber last summer i went to the pool 24/7 i went so much that i got burns from it.could swiming that much make me fast. I havent went swiming yet this summer.

Uphill speed training is great for increasing your burst and speed. Sprint up the hill (or steps) and take your time and mosey back down slowly and do it all again. This is a good workout for your fast twitch muscles. Also, there are videos like this that can also help you:

The only thing I can say is if you haven't run for awhile, like monthis. It will come back. 2 months ago, my mile was like 9 mins. Now its down around 7 almost sub 7 It just takes a week or so to get back into the groove and get used to using those muscles like that.
