View Full Version : PLZ help me with my cardio!

I lift about 6 days per week but find it hard to get in a lot of cardio with work and school. I was wondering if i would get the same benefits that i would doing a half hour of cardio from running a quick 730-8min mile on the treadmill? Also, how many days per week are needed to get that cut look? im shooting for 3 days a week but if i need to do more, thats no prob. im dedicated. THANKS!

all i can say to you is youl lose weight stick at it i have problem like you with school but i manage to lift and do cardio 4 times a week dont go mad on lifting beacuse that wont lose you the weight in actualy fact itl turn to muscle and muscle weights heavier than fat

Cardio will lose weight. But, if you want to be ripped? Diet is where it's at. Ask around, you'll hear the same. Good luck.

Omaha is right about the diet. Try 3 days per week with good diet and that will tell you if you want to add day 4.

See now I am a little different. I was VERY Fat. and VERY out of shape. Once I got into it I was doing about 30 to 45 mins of cardio 5 days a week and Lifting 5 days also. 3 heavy days with 2 light days and 2 off days. It really depends on your goals if you want to be lean and musclar then yea 3 days is enough but I on the other hand wanted to be faster and have endurance. So 5 days and 45 mins was my ticket.

I did notice a question you asked as to running only 1 mile int he 8 min range as apposed to running for a 30 min period at a steady pace. And I will tell you this. YOU will burn more fat running 4 a half hour at a steady 6mph pace then you will just one mile at at any speed
